Definisjon
- 1. The crystal is described by vectors of unequal length, as in the orthorhombic system. In addition, the angles between these vectors must all be different and may not include 90°. (Wikipedia). 2. Crystals in this system are referred to three axes of unequal lengths that are inclined at nonorthogonal (nonperpendicular) angles relative to each other. (Britannica). 3. a system of crystallization characterized by three unequal axes intersecting at oblique angles—used especially of a crystal (Merriam-Webster dictionary). 4. The triclinic system has the least symmetry of any Bravais lattice. The only cell is the primative cell (P) which has a partial lattice point at each cell corner for a total of one lattice point per cell. For this lattice: a < b < c; and the angles a, b, g, are all unequal and may not be 900. (https://www.princeton.edu/~maelabs/mae324/glos324/triclinic.htm).
