Metadata Repository

Definitie
- Information system used to store, manage and provide access to Metadata, following a policy or a set of rules that define storage and access norms. Many Data Repositories automatically assign globally unique Persistent Identifiers to deposited resources. A Metadata Repository may be associated with an Institution or a group of them, or may be run by a third party. A Metadata Repository may or may not be directly used by Research Users. The access rights granted to the resources may be determined by the User Role.
